Sunrise Publishing began in 1993 when it purchased the publishing rights to Saskatchewan Business Magazine. The company resurrected the 11-year-old magazine, which had been dormant for a short period of time. Bringing back the magazine as a quarterly, gradually the company expanded the magazine’s frequency into a bi-monthly. This was further expanded to its current status of eight issues per year. In 1997, Sunrise launched the Saskatchewan Mining Journal. This journal grew out of a feature story in Saskatchewan Business Magazine. Over the years, these publications have established a large following – both in advertising and readership.
While growing Saskatchewan Business Magazine and the Saskatchewan Mining Journal, Sunrise Publishing recognized and filled other needs in the marketplace. Since 1996, Sunrise has published Saskatchewan Now (formerly Business Unlimited/Enterprise Now). Other publications proudly produced by Sunrise include Tourism Saskatoon's Visitor Guide, Convention Saskatoon's Convention Guide, Pulse Point (on behalf of the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers Association), and the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Tourism Guide.
