Sunrise Publishing began in 1993 when it purchased the publishing rights to Saskatchewan Business Magazine. The company resurrected the 11-year-old magazine, which had been dormant for five years. Bringing the magazine back as a quarterly, gradually the company expanded the magazine's frequency into a bi-monthly. This was further expanded into a seven-issue-per-year rotation, and yet again, to its current status of eight issues per year. The expansion theme is continuing in 2007, as Sask Business will begin a nine-issue annual run. While growing Saskatchewan Business Magazine, Sunrise Publishing recognized and filled other needs in the marketplace. In 1996 Sunrise was awarded the contract for the publication Business Unlimited. In 1997 Sunrise launched an annual trade publication, The Saskatchewan Mining Journal, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Mining Association. Over the years other magazines and periodicals have also been proudly published by Sunrise. From 2000-2006 Sunrise Publishing published Tourism Saskatoon's annual Visitor Guide, and since 2002, Sunrise has also published the quarterly PulsePoint on behalf of the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers Association. |
